Helm is known as the Vigilant One, the Great Guard, and The Watcher. God of guardians, protection and protectors, and worshiped by guards and paladins, he was long seen as a cold and focused deity who impartially took the role of defender and sometimes also enforcer. His symbol is a staring eye with blue iris on an upright war gauntlet.
Helm has fallen out of fashion in recent years. He has almost no functioning temples and hasn’t been actively worshiped by any fraction of the population in at least a century. Recently, however, Helm has begun to see worshipers, thanks primarily to the work of the Vigilant Eyes and their new Supreme Watcher. This resurgence of worship seems to show Helm as a warmer, kinder god, watching over all, regardless of their piety. Helm is still colder and more business-like than, say, Pelor, but some people, particularly adventurers who fancy themselves heroes, have flocked to Helm’s side.
